The thing you want is rarely the thing they advertise.
Ask people what they want from their next job and “somewhere calm” comes near the top. Read the ads and it barely exists: 3.9% of live postings say anything about a low-pressure environment. Filtering for it leaves you almost nothing.
So we filter the other way. Employers are happy to call themselves fast-paced — 26,522 jobs do. Rule those out and you still have 59,364 to choose from: the same question asked from the side the data can actually answer.
